About the Workshop:‍ ‍

In the wild world of therapy, ethics are not always black and white. To navigate the gray, we will explore the most common complaints filed against therapists in Ohio, the reasoning behind these complaints, and tangible ways to navigate these types of ethical pitfalls.

Course Objectives:

  • Identify the most common ethical complaints received by counseling boards such as the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board and the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board

  • Understand the underlying reasons for complaints to professional license

  • Develop strategies to prevent ethical breaches in daily practice
