Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources / Operations ensures that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently within all behavioral healthcare programs at the main and satellite locations. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Director of Human Resources participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives.  This individual must use initiative and independent judgment to administer and supervise business operations and Human Resource functions, supervise support personnel, oversee purchasing, maintain job descriptions, develop / revise associated policies, conduct research and participate in program development, marketing, and community networking/involvement.  Human Resource functions include, but are not limited to, talent engagement, recruitment and retention, on boarding of new employees, record and benefit programs management. 

Education

Associates Degree and/or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Certification is not required, but Professional in Human Resources certification is preferred.   

Experience

At least 3-5 years of experience with administrative functions related to leadership, business management and supervision.  At least 2 years of that experience in a professional healthcare office. 

Qualifications

Highly proficient in computer programs related to word processing (Microsoft Office programs), data collection, scheduling, spreadsheets, and website management.  Knowledge of typical behavioral health  agency policies and procedures and public relations functions common to the industry.    Has a general understanding of accreditation requirements of CARF and OhioMHAS.   Knowledge of employment law and HR functions.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Adaptable, responsible, and personable.  Able to work with clients, community stakeholders and the general public on public relations, community education and marketing of the agency programs. Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times. Experience with Credible (EMR) preferred.
