Crisis Services Director

Position Summary

Responsible for programming, staffing, recruitment, training, marketing, budgeting, and mutually agreed upon clinical outcomes and financial metrics for the Crisis Services Program. Lead assigned staff toward excellence in compassionate and ethical clinical care, stabilization of crises, and community outreach and education.  Assist the CEO in operational and programmatic optimization to drive meaningful change and employ best practices. Provide leadership for program growth and efficiencies to maintain 24/7 service access to Medina County residents. Establish and maintain strong interagency relationships with community stakeholders, partners, and service providers.  Ensure the safety and well-being of guests at all times.  Ensure regulatory adherence with local, state, and Federal laws.  Retain an effective Crisis Services Team and ensure coverage for all shifts.  Assist in the development of associated policies and procedures and programmatic strategic planning.  Attend and participate in relative meetings, committees, etc. Perform all other duties required to operate a successful program. 

Education

Master’s degree in behavioral healthcare related field with independent licensure as an LISW-S or LPCC-S in the State of Ohio.  Advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral health conditions and clinical supervision. 

Experience

5-7 years clinical work experience in a community or inpatient behavioral healthcare setting.  2 years experience in  professional management, crisis programming, and associated treatments. Experience in mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment and programming. 

Qualifications

Knowledge, education, skills, and experience in a multi-disciplinary approach to behavioral healthcare.  Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.  Familiarity with CARF Accreditation and applicable standards.  Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and maintain a solution-focused approach for problem resolution.  Knowledge of DSM 5 diagnoses and symptoms,  the Zero Suicide Framework, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and crisis and suicide risk assessment and safety planning.  Proficient in Microsoft Office Word.  Valid Ohio driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance.  Ability to work effectively with in collaboration with diverse groups of people.  Demonstrate passion, integrity, and a mission-driven approach to promote and ensure an optimal guest experience.  Experience in project management.  Demonstrate and have the ability to effectively lead and develop  teams.
