Position Summary

The Accountant works within the staff of the Finance Department and is responsible for general accounting functions of the agency, including general ledger activities, payroll, payables, receivables, billing, or other financial matters. The Accountant will ensure timely completion of accounting tasks and ensure that GAAP principles are utilized in financial accounting.


Bachelor’s degree in accounting.


2-3 years of accounting experience. Experience in community behavioral health preferred.


Excellent communication, computer and organizational skills.  Must have the ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in the maintenance of agency financials.  Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.  Experience in working with accounting software, QuickBooks preferred. Knowledge or experience with behavioral health billing and accounting procedures.
