Psychiatric Emergency Service Program
The department provides 24-hour crisis intervention, 365 days a year when
individuals in the community are in severe psychological distress, i.e.
suicidal. Any adult or child who may be at risk of harming themselves
or others may access help through Alternative Paths (330-725-9195). An
emergency consultant will contact and/or meet with the individual, family,
friend, co-worker, teacher, or law enforcement representative to assess
the severity of the problem and help access appropriate services, i.e.
hospitalization, safe refuge, or crisis intervention.
