Alternative Paths, Inc. a private, non-profit community mental health agency located in Medina, Ohio, provides an array of behavioral health services for adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses, as well as general mental health concerns. The agency specializes in the treatment of schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, major depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, and other serious mood and thought disorders.

Psychiatric Emergency Services are available 24 hours/ 7 days a week to all individuals in Medina County regardless of age. A team of specially trained and experienced emergency therapists and psychiatrists staff the department responsible for carrying out crisis services. Emergency services play an important role in not only responding to psychiatric emergencies, but also ensuring that a client is linked to an appropriate continuum of care.

Alternative Paths serves clients through a variety of resources such as the Medina County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Board, Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, donations, and client self-pay based on an assessment of income and family on a sliding fee scale.
