Services

Alternative Paths provides mental health services to any individuals incarcerated at the Medina County Jail who is in need of such services. Initial mental health screenings are done on all inmates at the jail to allow staff to detect issues or problems with inmates who may benefit from mental health intervention. Mental health treatment may be initiated while in jail, or continued if the inmate has received prior care while in the community. Mental health services in the jail include individual counseling, group counseling, case management, and psychiatry.

 

Substance abuse services which include chemical dependency assessment, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention and case management are also available to inmates at the Medina County Jail. Participate in services are voluntary and provided at the request of the inmate.
